You had heard all of the stories about the legendary hero of Hyrule. You knew them like the back of your hand; how the legendary hero's soul would be reborn whenever Hyrule's
need was at it's greatest, how the hero would just be a normal boy that would take up the cause for one reason or another, how he would go to great lengths in order to save the
world that he calls home. Pratically every boy wanted to be just like him, and literally every girl was attracted to him--and it would be a lie to say that you weren't attracted
to him as well! From the pictures of him that you've seen over the years, it was hard not to!

For years, you had lived in Ordon Village; just a walk away from Faron Woods. It was a beautiful and peaceful community where everyone knew everybody, and everyone was
friends. Yet you ran a flower shop in Hyrule Castle Town, which you rode into work everyday on the back of your horse. You had flowers from all over the land of Hyrule,
even rare ones which meant your business was booming. Yet despite all of the money you got you continued to live in Ordon. You could handle working in the bustling town, but
you probably wouldn't be able to live in it. Right now, you were letting a close friend that lived in Hyrule Castle town run the place while you were bedridden.

You had been pregnant for nine months and a week now, and your husband Shad would barely let you leave the bed after you passed the due date without going into labor. He would
only let you get up if you needed to go to the bathroom or bathe. Your husband may not have been the strongest man there was, but his heart and mind were always in the right
place. When your water finally broke, Shad got Uli; the wife of his friend Rusl, to help deliver the baby.

"Keep pushing, ______!" Uli called over to you, having been doing so for what felt like an entire day even though it was actually just an hour. You basically had a death grip
on your husbands hand, trying to stay awake through the pain and weariness you were feeling nonstop. You just wanted it to be over...you just wanted your baby to be here already.

Shad didn't complain once about how you were crushing his hand, not one 'ow' escaping his lips. The only thing that he did say pretty much every minute was about how sorry he was for causing you all of the pain you were feeling. You would manage to utter 'It's okay.' before yelping from having to start pushing again. You could only imagine that your cries were heard outside and startling a lot of the wildlife.

"Almost there! ...I-I can see the head!"

"Y-you're almost done, dear!"

Hearing this, you managed to take a very deep breath and pushed with everything you had left in you. You pushed until you couldn't push anymore, then fell back and hit your pillow.

"It's a boy!"

All of a sudden, you found yourself in a completly white space. No Shad, no Uli...and no baby. While the area had a safe and almost utterly peaceful vibe to it, out of natural instinct, you were frightened and scared, looking in every which direction for a way to escape or some sign of life...but there was nothing.

"S-Shad? Uli? Where you you guys?" you called out, growing more frightened by the second.

"H-hello?? Somebody?! ....B-baby..?"

A bright light coming from behind you caught your attention, causing you to gasp and turn around. You had to cover your eyes to protect them from the glare, but it dimmed and disappeared seconds later and before your very eyes stood the three golden goddesses of the Triforce.

Din, the golden goddess of Power...
Nayru, the golden goddess of Wisdom...
And Farore, the golden goddess of Courage...

You starred at the three sisters in absolute shock, unable to understand why you were there or why they were standing before you. You couldn't be dead! ...Could you?

"Do not fear, my child... You are not dead." Farore spoke in a gentle tone, her voice sounding almost as sweet as honey. Being the one who creates life, it was understandable that she saw all people as her children and loved them all...even the ones that hated her. "...We simply wish to speak with you."

"In 17 years time, Hyrule shall be in danger yet again..." Din took over, having more of an afforative tone like a knight captian would. "The demon king shall return and attempt to conquer the land and all who live upon it."

"And so my sisters and I have decided..." Nayru then took over, having a mixture between both Farore and Din's voices. She held something in her arms as she looked at you. "...That you and your husband shall be the family of the reborn hero."

Your heart literally jumpped up into your throat hearing that YOU were going to be the mother of the legendary hero- You! Your ___ eyes widened in shock and remained fixed on the little figure in Nayru's arms. She walked towards you with a soft smile and stopped right in front of you. Before she could do anything
else, you just had to ask her.

"Why...w-why me? ...W-what made you want to choose Shad and I..?"

Nayru smiled at you, looking down at the newborn hero's soul in her arms for a moment before holding him out to you.

"You have to blood of the chosen hero inside of you... The Hero of Time...he is your many greats grandfather."

Your eyes buldged out of your head once again, and they felt like they were going to fall out if you hadn't blinked-- You were related to THE Hero of Time?! How did you never know this?! You felt like you were going to faint...

"But at the same time...it was him who chose you, dear."

Comming out of your thoughts, you looked down at baby in Nayru's arms. Looking right back up at you was an absolutly beautiful baby boy; small tuffs of blonde hair, big blue eyes, and those trademark Hylian pointed ears that both you and Shad had. He had your blonde hair and your face, but he had Shad's eyes. And clearly shown on his right hand was the Triforce, shinning gently.

Once he saw you, he cooed happily and a smile went across his little face. His arms managed to wriggle out of his blanket and reached up towards your face, wanting you to take him. Somewhat shaky, you reached over and took your baby from Nayru. He looked so cute and so happy to be with you... Your nerves disappeared and a smile finally went across your face.

"Hey there....Link..~"

The baby squealed happily, snuggling up to you as close as he could.

The goddesses, satisfied with everything, turned and walked away together. You simply kept your loving gaze on your baby boy as a gentle white light overcame the area.

"Link..? Is that what she wants to name the baby?"

Back in reality, you had fallen asleep after giving birth to your son which was how you saw the goddesses and the spirit of your son. You were still asleep, holding the little boy in your arms. He was looking around the room; mostly at you, Shad, and Uli, and smiling sweetly. Shad was sitting on the side of the bed, smiling at his son while Uli just stood by the bed with a confused look. You had uttered the name Link in your sleep.

"It's a nice name...but it should really be saved for-"

As she spoke, Shad noticed how something was shinning on his baby's right hand. He carefully reached over and took his tiny hand, smiling as he cooed and babbled but
quickly gasped upon what he saw.

"U-Uli, look at this-"

The blonde woman walked over to see for herself, gasping as soon as she saw it. The Triforce was proudly displayed on his hand...there was no denying it.

"This....t-this is..."

"M-my son...is the chosen hero-"

You finally woke up a minute after Shad and Uli made the discovery, and you thought that the whole thing had just been an incredible dream at first. As soon as you looked down at your little boy, however, you knew that it had been true and the biggest smile that you could muster went across your face.

"S-Shad... W-we're the parents of a hero..!" You managed to say, looking down at your little boy who started playing with a strand of your hair.

"We are..! ...How did you know, _____?"

"W-when I passed out...the goddesses came to me. T-they told me so themselves..! ...M-my ancestor...the Hero of Time is MY ancestor..!"

"T-that's amazing, _____!" Uli exclaimed gently, clearly amazed and smiling.

Shad just sat there in amazement, blushing as you leaned over and managed to kiss his cheek. You were so honored and happy to know that you'd be the mother of an amazing and legendary individual. And you could tell that Shad felt the exact same way. After his shock wore off, he thanked Uli for all of her help and she left after kindly denying payment for her assistance.

You and Shad both stayed up for most of the night, wanting to spend time with your little Link until he got tired. You and your husband showed him all of the things that you made for him while he was in your belly. A stuffed horse toy, a blanket holding all of the light spirits through out Hyrule as well as the Triforce since it was such a powerful icon in the land, a couple footed pj's, and a special rattle that you made with Shad's help. Link loved everything that you showed him, especially the horse toy and rattle which he held close to him as he slept in his newly made crib.

You knew that he was destined for greatness...your son was going to save the land of Hyrule one day. The thought of him going on such dangerous quests and putting his life in danger for the world really worried you...but you had a long time before you had to face that reality. And while you knew that you would worry for his safety every day he would be gone, you knew that he would be alright and that he would come back.

Because Link, your son....was going to be the hero of legend.
